Overview RDA for Pediatric Dental Office. Job will consist of mainly work as scheduler and receptionist with occasional help with assisting and coronal polishing. Practice uses Eaglesoft practice management, familiarity with program would be very helpful. Job is 4 days a week, Tue-Friday. Must enjoy working with children, good phone skills and comfortable with computers. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage appointment scheduling efficiently using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic Assist dentists during procedures with four-handed dentistry techniques and chairside assisting Take and record vital signs, medical imaging, and X-rays while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control protocols Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and coding in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on dental terminology, procedures, and post-treatment care Manage patient check-in/check-out processes, verify insurance information, and handle billing inquiries as a dental receptionist Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to medical records and documentation for pediatrics or other specialties such as endodontics or prosthodontics Ensure compliance with all safety standards related to anatomy knowledge and infection prevention Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is required; familiarity with dental assisting and reception duties is essential Proficiency with EMR systems including Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly desirable Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and medical coding practices is necessary Experience with dental imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and X-ray machines is preferred Background in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry enhances suitability for this role Certification in dental assisting or equivalent training in chairside assisting, aseptic technique, and infection control is preferred Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry and proficiency in medical documentation are advantageous This position offers a dynamic environment where clinical skills meet administrative excellence.
