Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring patient comfort, and supporting the clinical operations of our practice. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in X-ray procedures, medical imaging, and aseptic techniques to uphold the highest standards of patient safety and care. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies using aseptic technique Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring proper safety protocols are followed Record vital signs and medical history accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic Manage patient flow efficiently by scheduling appointments and updating medical records while maintaining HIPAA compliance Provide patient education on dental procedures, post-operative care, and oral hygiene practices Support infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a sterile environment Assist with medical imaging procedures including 3D scanning when applicable Maintain knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to effectively communicate with patients and team members Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations including administrative support as needed Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent licensure Proven experience in dental assisting within a clinical setting; experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; familiarity with medical coding and documentation preferred Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques in accordance with OSHA guidelines Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately while adhering to radiation safety protocols Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of dental specialties including prosthodontics and endodontics is advantageous Join our dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding dental care while fostering your professional development in a supportive environment.
