Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Las Vegas, NV
Full-Time Dental Assistant A busy dental office is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant with a minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience. Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:45 AM â approximately 4:30 PM Saturday availability is required for full-time employment. Position Summary The Dental Assistant will support the dentist in providing patient care and maintaining clinical efficiency. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and able to follow established clinical protocols and safety guidelines. Responsibilities Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure comfort Set up instruments, equipment, and materials for procedures Assist the dentist with four-handed dentistry Sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control standards Complete assigned laboratory tasks Provide patients with oral hygiene and post-operative instructions Maintain operatory cleanliness and inventory levels Schedule appointments as needed Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative duties Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization procedures Understanding of health and safety regulations Ability to perform permitted non-surgical duties (e.g., coronal polishing) preferred Basic computer proficiency Strong communication and organizational skills High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of a dental assisting program preferred Additional certifications (e.g., EFDA) are a plus Compensation: Hourly rate is commensurate with experience.
