Experienced Registered Dental Assistant - Edward Jang DDS & Associates - Pinole, CA

This role is ideal for a dependable and motivated individual who demonstrates initiative, has sound judgment, works efficiently with minimal supervision, and takes ownership of their responsibilities. You must provide compassionate, patient-centered care, ensuring every patient feels comfortable throughout their visit. The ideal candidate will also support the team by handling administrative and basic dental tasks, helping to lift responsibilities off the dentist’s shoulders and contributing proactively to the practice. This position is primarily based in our Orinda office, with occasional shifts at our Pinole location. Candidates must be flexible to work at either location as needed. Pay is competitive and based on experience. Responsibilities Welcome patients into the dental office Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Maintain accurate patient records Skills Time Management Anticipating procedural steps during treatment Providing clear pre/post treatment guidance to patients Supporting patients before procedures by explaining steps and addressing concerns Digital scanning (Itero and Dandy) preferable. CBCT scans preferable. Recording treatments, updating dental charts accurately Placing/removing temporary restorations Understanding of health & safety regulations CPR/BLS Coronal polishing certificate Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA) Pay: From $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 per week Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Preferred) Work Location: In person
