Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Ontario, CA

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our private dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, ensuring efficient clinic operations, and maintaining strict adherence to infection control protocols. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical documentation, and medical coding will be advantageous. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth within a comprehensive general dentistry practice. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control standards Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) ensuring patient safety and compliance with radiation protocols Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic while ensuring HIPAA compliance Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow efficiency Measure vital signs and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards Skills Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Experience with X-ray procedures and radiation safety protocols Knowledge of infection control practices including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in general dentistry settings Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join our team to provide compassionate dental care while advancing your skills in a supportive environment that values professionalism, continuous learning, and exceptional patient service.
