Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Spring Hill, FL
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, performing basic dental tasks, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients. Responsibilities: - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and materials - Take and develop dental x-rays - Prepare and maintain dental materials, such as composite fillings and impression materials - Provide post-operative instructions to patients - Perform basic laboratory duties, such as pouring models and trimming plaster casts - Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems (Eaglesoft) - Follow proper infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique - Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred - Current certification in dental assisting preferred - Proficiency in medical documentation and record keeping - Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments - Familiarity with dental imaging techniques and equipment - Ability to take accurate vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, etc.) - Strong knowledge of CAD software for digital impressions is a plus - Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team At our practice, we offer competitive pay rates, opportunities for professional growth, and a supportive work environment.
