Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Brooklyn, NY
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will support clinical operations, assist with patient care, and ensure the smooth functioning of the dental practice. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and adherence to infection control protocols. Must speak Russian. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions, and endodontics Take dental X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable . Educate patients on oral health care and post-treatment instructions Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate with the dental reception team Follow infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures . Perform chairside assisting with proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge Ensure the clinic environment remains clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA standards Skills Experience with X-ray techniques, including digital imaging and 3D scanners Familiarity with dental specialties such as prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently alongside the dentist Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control procedures , Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
