Job Title: Dental Assistant Location: White River Junction, VT Job Type: Contract Openings: 3 Job Summary We are seeking qualified and motivated Dental Assistants to support clinical dental operations at an on-site healthcare facility in White River Junction, Vermont. The ideal candidate will assist dental providers in delivering patient care, support clinic workflows, maintain accurate records, and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Qualifications Current, unrestricted registration as a Dental Assistant in the state of Vermont Minimum one year of recent full-time experience as a Dental Assistant (experience in federal or VA dental settings preferred) Completion of an accredited radiologic program and credentialing compliant with federal standards for administering radiologic procedures Must obtain radiologic competence certification within one month of onboarding through one of the following: Dental Radiation Health & Safety Examination (DANB), OR Approved dental radiology and safety coursework/exams, OR State board or Department of Defense approved program Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook) Experience working with electronic health record systems and clinical terminology Valid unrestricted U.S. driverâs license Willingness to complete required training and comply with policies for operating government vehicles Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesClinical Assistance & Documentation Perform chairside assisting duties across all dental procedures Prepare patients and instruments for treatment Record vital signs and patient information Operate dental X-ray equipment and evaluate image quality Provide patient education and post-treatment instructions Maintain and update electronic health/dental records and documentation Support clinic workflow and coordination with dental providers Process Improvement Identify operational inefficiencies and assist in implementing improvements Document and communicate workflow changes Support development of quality control measures Reporting & Program Support Assist with preparation of reports summarizing dental care activities Support tracking of performance metrics and program outcomes Stakeholder Coordination Serve as liaison between providers and operational stakeholders Gather feedback and assist in resolving workflow challenges Support implementation of strategies to improve satisfaction and efficiency Work Schedule Business Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Shift Window: 7:00 AM â 5:30 PM Services are not required on national holidays or outside defined hours Pay: $24.39 - $30.00 per hour Work Location: In person
