Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the office. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. XRAY CERTIFIED AND DENTRIX REQUIRED Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information. Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques throughout all procedures. Manage patient records using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow as a dental receptionist when required. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Support prosthodontics procedures by preparing materials and assisting during treatments. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is a plus. Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques is essential. Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records.
