Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Whitehouse Station, NJ

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support our dentists and hygienists in delivering high-quality dental care. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, patient-focused, and eager to contribute to a positive practice culture. Key Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including fillings, crowns, extractions, and root canals Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols Dental radiographs (X-rays) Prepare treatment rooms for patient appointments Document patient care, treatment plans, and medical histories accurately Provide chairside assistance and anticipate dentist needs during procedures Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment instructions Manage inventory and order dental supplies as needed Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment Qualifications Required: High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred Current CPR/BLS certification X-ray certification Strong interpersonal and communication skills Positive attitude and enthusiasm for patient care Great leadership skills with ability to mentor and guide team members Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Preferred: 1-2 years of dental assisting experience Knowledge of dental software systems Expanded functions certification (EFDA) is a plus What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Health insurance benefits Paid time off and holidays Continuing education opportunities Professional development and growth potential Supportive and collaborative team environment Modern facility with up-to-date technology Schedule Monday through Friday with occasional flexibility needed for patient scheduling needs.
