***FRIDAY'S ONLY*** Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the delivery of exceptional dental care. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain the highest standards of infection control and dental documentation. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies for various dental procedures. Assist dentists chairside during treatments such as restorations, extractions, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take dental X-rays using advanced imaging equipment like 3D scanners and digital radiography systems. Ensure patient comfort by explaining procedures and managing dental documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain infection control protocols and proper sterilization of instruments. Manage dental records using Eaglesoft to ensure accurate documentation of patient histories and treatment plans. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist, verifying insurance information, and handling dental coding for billing purposes. Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the team. Adhere to HIPAA standards to protect patient privacy while managing sensitive health information. Experience Prior experience working in a dental office is highly preferred. Experience with dental imaging techniques including X-ray procedures for both adult and pediatric patients. Understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental coding enhances communication within the team.
