Pedo Ortho Dental Assistant Job Description Our dental assistants are the heroes of our practice. We are looking for one dental assistant to assist pedo 3 days a week and ortho 2 days a week. Pedo/ortho experience required. Responsibilities include: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment - Take and develop dental x-rays - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history - Charting and medical coding - Provide support in pediatric dentistry procedures - Provide support in orthodontic procedures - Advanced diagnostics including intraoral photographs and 3D itero scans - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation -Logging and tracking of lab cases and associated appointments -facilitating repair requests -Inventory -Supply ordering -Flush lines -Maintaining tech equipment (handpieces, conebeam, compressor, etc.) -Unpack shipments and send invoices to bookkeeping -organize treatment rooms and lab area -maintaining the facility Experience: - Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments - Proficiency in using dental software and technology - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work well in a team environment -Previous dental assisting experience required in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Continuing education credits Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Referral program Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person
