Experienced Dental Assistant or EFDA - Point place dental care - Toledo, OH

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team at Point Place Dental Care or one of the affiliated offices in Monroe and Sylvania. As a dental assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. Responsibilities: - Assist our experienced dentists during dental procedures by preparing the treatment area, handing instruments, and providing suction or other assistance as required. - Take and develop dental x-rays, ensuring the highest standard of radiographic images. - Sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment. - Prepare dental materials such as cements, impression materials, and restorative materials for procedures. - Greet and prepare patients for treatments, taking their dental history and documenting their vital signs. - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care instructions, and preventive measures. - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information. - Schedule appointments, manage the front desk, and handle phone calls as needed. - Assist in the dental laboratory by taking impressions, pouring and trimming models, and assisting with the fabrication and fitting of dental restorations. Requirements: - 3 Years or more Chairside Dental assisting experience - High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred. - X-ray certification and CPR certification. - Proven experience as a dental assistant or a similar role. - Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods. - Familiarity with dental software systems and proficiency in computer skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Professional and friendly demeanor.
