EDDA Dental Assistant Pay: $22-26/hour Schedule: Full-time Location: Grand Junction, CO Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols. Perform medical imaging tasks, including X-rays, to assist in diagnostics. Maintain accurate medical documentation for patient records and treatment plans. Manage dental reception duties such as scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries. Implement aseptic techniques to prevent infection during dental procedures. Support specialized areas of dentistry including Prosthodontics, Endodontics, and Pediatrics as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Skills Proficient in dental assisting techniques with a focus on infection control and aseptic practices. Experience with medical imaging technologies relevant to dentistry. Strong background in managing dental reception tasks effectively. Knowledge of Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Pediatrics, and other specialized areas is preferred. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and team members. Ability to maintain meticulous medical documentation for compliance and patient care continuity. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in a clinical setting.
