Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment areas in compliance with infection control protocols.
• Take dental x-rays
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Take and record vital signs as needed, ensuring all patient information is up-to-date.
• Utilize dental software such as Opendental for scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
• Utilize computer

Experience

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Familiarity with medical documentation, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance is essential.
• Knowledge of infection control practices within a dental setting is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Opendental will be beneficial.
