Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for procedures. Assist dentists during a variety of treatments including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics, providing chairside support with precision and care. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners, adhering to strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort before, during, and after procedures to promote safety and well-being. Educate patients on dental terminology, procedures, and post-treatment care to foster understanding and cooperation. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and maintaining organized medical documentation for efficient clinic operations. Qualifications Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred; familiarity with dental assisting practices is essential. Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, anatomy, dental terminology, and medical terminology to ensure safe practice standards. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient safety standards. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members such as dental receptionists and hygienists. Certification or training in four-handed dentistry is advantageous.
