We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our growing family! What You’ll Do As an EFDA at Yaya Smiles, you’ll play a key role in both clinical procedures and patient care, working closely with our doctors to deliver high-quality dentistry. Your expanded skills will make a big impact on the efficiency of the practice and the experience of our patients. Responsibilities include: Perform expanded functions such as placing fillings, polishing restorations, and fabricating temporary crowns Assist dentist during a variety of dental procedures Take digital x-rays and intraoral photos Sterilize instruments and maintain operatory cleanliness Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Ensure all infection control protocols are followed Help maintain inventory and order dental supplies Support front office when needed with scheduling and patient communication What We’re Looking For Active EFDA certification (Required) X-ray certification (Required) CPR/BLS certification (Preferred) Minimum of 1–2 years of dental assisting experience (EFDA experience a plus) Excellent chairside manner and communication skills Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic Comfortable with dental software (Dentrix, Open Dental, or similar) Why You’ll Love Working Here Supportive, team-oriented and positive working environment Competitive pay & benefits Medical and Vision insurance paid 100% by employer 3% Safe Harbor 401k Paid time off Dental care benefits Continuing education opportunities Fun team events and a vibrant office culture Join Our Smile Team!
