Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring aseptic techniques are followed Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring accurate medical documentation Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system dentrix ascend while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient privacy Monitor vital signs and medical history to ensure patient safety before procedures Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and comfort Support the dental receptionist with appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, and handling medical records or coding as needed Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment in accordance with OSHA standards Experience 3 years minimum previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical documentation practices Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix Ascend a plus. Proficiency in taking X-rays and operating medical imaging equipment including 3D scanners Knowledge of infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and anatomy relevant to dentistry Experience assisting with pediatric patients and understanding pediatric dentistry best practices is advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and collaborate with team members in a moderate pace environment. Strong organizational skills. Team integration and contribution will be required. Implant surgical knowledge is a plus.
