Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including probing, scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health. treat patients with mild t moderate periodontitis. Assess patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration before procedures to ensure safety. Take dental radiographs (medical imaging) accurately while following infection control protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster lifelong healthy habits. Review medical records and documentation to ensure accurate patient histories and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain sterile environments using aseptic techniques, manage dental instruments, and uphold infection control standards. Utilize dental practice management software (such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix) for documentation review, scheduling, and record keeping. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a clinical setting. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately while providing clear instructions. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment utilizing good documentation review skills and medical coding knowledge.
