Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the clinic, providing exceptional support to our dental team and delivering outstanding care to our patients. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing four-handed dentistry support. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures. Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with dental receptionist duties as required. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Perform vital signs monitoring and assist with medical imaging when necessary. Ensure aseptic techniques are followed to maintain infection control standards. Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for efficient patient management. Support pediatric dentistry procedures by engaging with young patients in a friendly manner. Skills Proficient in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge relevant to general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics. Experience with medical documentation, medical records management, and medical coding is advantageous. Familiarity with 3D scanning technology is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and team members. Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory.
