Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our dynamic dental team! Duties Assist dental professionals during patient procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and dental equipment for various treatments including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric procedures Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners while maintaining strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Manage patient records efficiently using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and coding Monitor vital signs and medical history of patients to support comprehensive care in general dentistry and pediatrics Support infection control practices by sterilizing instruments, maintaining a sterile environment, and adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to enhance overall health outcomes Collaborate with the dental team in four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize treatment efficiency and patient comfort Requirements Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy is highly preferred Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; familiarity with medical records management is a plus Certification or experience in X-ray imaging and pediatric dentistry is desirable Strong understanding of infection control standards, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures Knowledge of dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, taking vital signs, and managing dental instruments Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, especially children in pediatrics or special needs populations Basic understanding of medical terminology, medical coding, and healthcare documentation practices Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering exceptional dental care!
