This opportunity is for a Fulltime schedule, 4-5 WORK DAYS FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE M-TH: 8AM-4PM & F: 8AM-2PM, with a starting salary of $65-70/hourly Benefits: Health insurance Employer contribution toward medical coverage 401(k) Dental Discount for employees Paid time off (PTO) 5 Paid Holidays Continuing education opportunities No double booking & Protected lunch Responsibilities Provide comprehensive hygiene care, including cleanings, periodontal therapy, and patient education for a mostly pediatric patient base with a mix of adults. Perform accurate oral charting, periodontal measurements, and documentation using our AI-enhanced digital systems. Perform wellness scans using the iTero digital scanner Take high-quality digital X-rays and assist with imaging as needed. Utilize in-office laser technology for approved hygiene procedures. Administer and manage nitrous oxide for qualified patients (if certified). Educate patients, especially parents and families, on oral health, treatment needs, and preventive care in a confident and supportive manner. Collaborate closely with the doctor to ensure coordinated, efficient, and personalized care throughout each visit. Qualifications Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license. Strong communication skills and confidence in patient interaction. Ability to work efficiently in a busy, family-oriented practice without feeling rushed. Experience with digital charting and X-rays; familiarity with AI-driven dental software is a plus. Laser certification preferred or willingness to complete training. Nitrous certification or willingness to complete nitrous training. Expectations Our scheduling model is designed to support thorough, unrushed care. New patient hygiene appointments are typically booked for 1.5 hours, giving you time for charting, X-rays, assessments, and education. Regular returning patients are scheduled for 1 hour, ensuring you have the space needed to provide complete and comfortable care.
