Job Summary We are seeking a Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our new dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care and ensure the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and polishing to maintain optimal oral health. Take and record vital signs, medical history, and assess patient health status. Perform medical imaging radiographs, cavity detection, and application of topical agents. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records using Open Dental. Follow strict infection control protocols utilizing aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures. Review medical records and documentation to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support pediatric dentistry procedures when applicable, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients. Experience Previous experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a general dental practice. Knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, radiograph interpretation Are important. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, documentation review, and medical records management is required. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a hygienist to work part time at a brand new dental office.
