Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Lowell, MA
We are seeking a reliable, dedicated Certified Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly using infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Assist dentists during various procedures such as restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support and managing dental materials Take dental X-rays Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical records in EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, and coordinating appointment schedules with the front desk team Measure vital signs and review medical history forms to ensure patient safety before treatment begins Maintain accurate documentation of medical records, dental charts, and procedural notes in compliance with HIPAA guidelines Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as answering phones as a dental receptionist and assisting with medical coding for billing purposes Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and terminology Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing electronic health records (EHR) and medical documentation Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization protocols within a dental setting Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry along with familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices when working with children Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages, including pediatrics Certification in radiography or X-ray technology preferred Join us in creating healthier smiles!
