Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups using practice management software, we use TAB32. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Prepare treatment rooms by following aseptic techniques to ensure cleanliness and safety. Operate 3D scanners for imaging as needed for diagnostic purposes. Support pediatric patients with a caring approach to ensure their comfort during visits. Participate in endodontic procedures by assisting with root canal treatments when required. Collaborate with the dental team to maintain an efficient workflow within the office. Qualifications Certification as a Dental Assistant is preferred, along with relevant experience in a dental setting. Proficiency in using dental software systems is highly desirable. Familiarity with X-ray technology and procedures, as well as knowledge of aseptic techniques. Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus, showcasing an ability to interact positively with children. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate medical records. Knowledge of endodontics is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
