We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our team for every FRIDAY. In this role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by performing dental cleanings, assessments, and education while maintaining strict infection control and documentation standards. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis (cleanings), including scaling and polishing teeth to promote oral health. Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and treatment plans tailored to their needs. Assist with chairside procedures in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings. Maintain accurate medical and dental records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Follow infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Skills Proficiency with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Open Dental Software. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Experience in pediatric dentistry and four-handed dentistry techniques. Ability to perform patient care tasks such as vital signs measurement and medical imaging. Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration. Familiarity with medical coding, documentation review, and HIPAA compliance.
