Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring optimal oral health for each patient Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Eaglesoft or Dentrix with accuracy, ensuring documentation review and compliance with HIPAA regulations Support pediatric dentistry patients by creating a friendly environment tailored to childrenâs needs and understanding their unique dental concerns Skills Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical coding to accurately document procedures and diagnoses Experience with dental assisting, chairside assisting, and infection control protocols to ensure safe and efficient operations Strong knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and medical records management for comprehensive patient assessment Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for seamless documentation and recordkeeping Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, fostering trust and comfort during visits Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to protect patient privacy at all times Demonstrated experience in general dentistry or dental clinic environments with a focus on patient care excellence Join us in making a difference by providing top-tier dental hygiene services in a vibrant setting!
