Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and vital signs to ensure safety during procedures Assist with chairside procedures, including providing support during pediatric dentistry treatments and general dentistry services Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions Support infection control protocols by adhering to sterilization procedures and maintaining a clean clinical environment Skills Proficiency with dental office software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation review and medical coding Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care Experience with pediatric dentistry, including working with children in a compassionate manner Skilled in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures Ability to measure vital signs accurately and recognize signs that require immediate attention Familiarity with medical imaging techniques used in dental diagnostics Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient assessment, education, and comfort management Join our team where your expertise will be valued, your skills will grow, and your passion for helping others will shine!
