Job Overview We are seeking a friendly, dedicated, and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with various dental procedures, and ensuring efficient clinic operations. Candidates should possess the ability to multitask, strong knowledge of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and HIPAA compliance. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for procedures. Assist dentists chairside during various treatments. Take digital X-rays and other imaging as required. Record vital signs and medical history accurately in Dental Software. Manage patient flow efficiently by greeting patients, updating medical records, and scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist. Maintain strict infection control and privacy standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations and OSHA guidelines. Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is required. Knowledge of dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting is essential. Experience with X-ray procedures, 3D scanners, and medical imaging equipment is advantageous. Understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and HIPAA compliance required. Certification in dental assisting or related fields is a plus; however, relevant on-the-job training will be provided for qualified candidates committed to professional growth in dental healthcare.
