Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Madison, AL

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our friendly team. In this vital role, you will support dentists during patient procedures, manage clinical tasks, and ensure a smooth, efficient patient experience. Your expertise in dental assisting and familiarity with advanced dental software will help us deliver exceptional care in a welcoming environment. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), including 3D scans when applicable, while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Open Dental software to ensure accurate medical documentation and records management Perform chairside assisting with vital signs measurement and medical imaging to support diagnosis and treatment planning Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments and answering patient inquiries Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment following infection control protocols and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Open Dental is essential Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical coding, and medical terminology is required Experience with general dentistry procedures Familiarity with dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging tools Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dental assisting roles Certification or training in infection control practices and aseptic technique is preferred Join our team to make a difference in patientsâ lives through compassionate care and technical excellence!
