Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and assist with patient check-in and check-out processes using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Schedule appointments accurately, manage patient flow, and coordinate follow-up care Prepare treatment rooms, assist the dentist during procedures, and ensure all dental instruments are sterilized and ready for use Handle medical billing and collections, including insurance verification, claims submission, and follow-up on unpaid accounts using medical coding systems such as CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9 codes Maintain comprehensive and organized medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette; respond promptly to patient inquiries and appointment requests Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing electronic health records (EHR systems) like eClinicalWorks or Dentrix Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic or medical office environment is highly preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and medical billing processes Proficiency with dental practice management software such as PBS Demonstrated ability to handle insurance verification processes efficiently and accurately Excellent customer service skills combined with effective communication abilities in both English and bilingual settings are highly desirable Previous experience in front desk operations, medical administrative support, or healthcare office management will be advantageous Competent in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with hospital or clinic experience enhances your candidacy Join our team to make a positive impact on patientsâ lives while advancing your career in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
