Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics by handing instruments and managing patient comfort. Take digital dental X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety measures are followed. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, and assisting the dental receptionist with patient flow. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control standards and OSHA guidelines. Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing dental wellness.
