Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Portland, OR
Northwest Portland Dental is hiring a new dental assistant! Are you looking for a team that likes what they do and enjoys working together? Look no further! We are a growing general dentistry practice looking for a dental assistant to help us continue to expand and thrive. Duties and Responsibilities Assist the dentist during dental procedures Assist with flow of hygienistsâ columns: set up and break down of rooms, seating patients, perio charting, etc. Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history Take dental x-rays Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment Assist with dental case management Help with maintenance of equipment and all clinical areas Report any issues or inadequacies to office manager and doctor Education and Experience: Dental Assistant diploma/certification from an accredited program Radiology certificate CPR certification Preferred Qualifications Dentrix Ascend Software experience Endodontics Experience Itero/digital scanning experience CBCT experience Problem-solving skills; good judgment; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision Work well in a group environment Highly developed organizational, planning, and communication skills Work Schedule Patient hours are Mon-Thurs, 7AM-4PM Assistants arrive at 6:35 AM Morning huddle at 6:50 AM to go over the days appointments Benefits: Health Insurance Dental Allowance Paid sick time Paid holidays 401(k) Free Parking Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Free parking Health insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Work Location: In person
