Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all materials are ready for procedures Assist dentists during various treatments including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools while maintaining strict infection control protocols Manage medical documentation and records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, verifying patient information, and managing medical coding for billing purposes Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and well-being Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control standards to uphold a sterile environment in accordance with OSHA guidelines Requirements Proven experience in dental assisting within a general dentistry or specialty practice such as prosthodontics or endodontics Proficiency with EMR systems including Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; familiarity with medical terminology and medical coding is highly desirable Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, anatomy, and dental terminology to support safe clinical operations Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while demonstrating excellent communication skills with patients of all ages, including pediatrics Experience operating dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners; certification in radiography preferred Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical records management and patient privacy Certification in CPR or basic life support (BLS) is a plus; valid dental assisting license or certification required where applicable Join us if you’re passionate about delivering exceptional dental care with enthusiasm!
