Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies using aseptic techniques to ensure infection control. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while maintaining proper radiation safety protocols. Manage patient records accurately within Open Dental. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow and patient comfort. Monitor vital signs and medical documentation for patients with special needs or medical conditions. Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment following infection control standards and OSHA guidelines. Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care instructions, and preventive practices to promote oral health. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. 3-5 years of experience preferred Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, X-ray taking, and medical imaging. Familiarity with Open Dental. Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques essential for patient safety. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and pediatric dentistry is advantageous. Ability to communicate clearly using dental terminology and explain procedures effectively to patients of all ages. Certification in X-ray operation and CPR is desirable; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or endodontics are a plus. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical documentation and records. A positive attitude combined with the ability to work efficiently in a team environment supporting four-handed dentistry practices. Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour Work Location: In person
