Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Experienced Dental Assistant with bilingual capabilities preferred to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained. Take and develop X-ray images, including 3D scans when applicable, while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; accurately document medical history, treatment notes, and medical coding. Provide vital signs measurements and medical documentation for patients as needed, especially in pediatric or medically complex cases. Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist when required, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information. Practice four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and comfort during procedures while maintaining excellent anatomy knowledge and dental terminology proficiency. Educate patients on post-treatment care, oral hygiene practices, and answer questions regarding procedures or billing processes. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with strong knowledge of dental assisting procedures, medical terminology, and infection control practices. Bilingual abilities preferred to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic or similar platforms is a plus. Certification in X-ray technology and proficiency in taking radiographs; knowledge of 3D scanner operation is advantageous. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in general dentistry settings; experience in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable. Strong understanding of anatomy, dental terminology, aseptic technique, and infection control standards. Knowledge of medical documentation, medical records management, and medical coding practices relevant to dental care. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.
