Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The office is a private solo-doctor practice that does not take HMO or denti-cal. Currently looking for full-time. Office is open Mon-Thurs 8am - 5pm and closed on weekends. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, effective communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take dental X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring impressions or fabricating temporary crowns. Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols within the dental clinic. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently to optimize office operations. Qualifications Previous experience as an assistant is preferred, particularly in general dentistry settings. Proficiency in using Dentrix is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health and procedures. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control standards in a dental clinic environment. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
