Overview We are a fee-for-service/PPO practice located in the beautiful community of El Segundo. Our office is a close-knit team that genuinely supports one another, and many of our team members have been with us for over 10 years. We are currently seeking a dental hygienist to join our team following the retirement of one of our beloved hygienists after 40 years of dedicated service. Duties Assessment & Screening: Reviewing medical history, recording blood pressure/pulse, performing oral cancer screenings, and inspecting head/neck. Imaging: Take x-rays. Preventive & Therapeutic Focus: Hygienists focus on periodontal health, providing prophylaxis and applying fluoride as needed and identifying when a patient requires restorative treatment, such as a crown, fillings, or periodontal therapy requiring root planing. Co-Diagnosis & Education: The hygienist acts as a "second voice" to educate the patient, explaining findings before/after the dentist exam, which helps patients understand the necessity of treatment. Documentation: Accurately recording patient care, treatment plans, and health history. Administrative/Support: Assisting with patient scheduling and sterilizing equipment. Skills Proficiency in dental software Dentrix for scheduling and documentation. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically while maintaining professionalism Our goal is finding someone with a great personality and the right attitude.
