Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to encourage lifelong healthy habits Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside assisting, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Review documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper medical coding standards Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental clinic or office environment Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge relevant to oral health care Skilled in pediatric dentistry practices when working with pediatric patients (pediatrics) Proficient in using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and record management Knowledge of infection control procedures, aseptic technique, and sterilization processes to ensure patient safety Ability to perform general dentistry procedures including patient care, assessment, and chairside assisting with professionalism and compassion Prior experience with dental assisting tasks, including taking vital signs, medical imaging, and supporting infection control efforts Join us to make a difference in patientsâ lives by delivering top-tier dental hygiene services in a supportive, energetic environment!
