Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and patient assessment techniques. The Registered Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients on preventive care. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments and document findings in patient records. Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth. Take and interpret medical imaging as needed for diagnostic purposes. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Provide chairside assistance, ensuring a smooth workflow during patient visits. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and ensure patient comfort throughout treatments. Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care in both pediatric and general dentistry settings. Experience Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Open Dental or Dentrix is advantageous. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus. Proficiency in medical terminology, documentation review, and medical coding is beneficial. Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to dental health and infection control measures. Experience with chairside assisting and patient care techniques is essential.
