Job Overview We are a growing Pediatric Dental office. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will work closely with pediatric patients and their families, providing essential support to the dentist during procedures and ensuring a positive experience for our young patients. Your expertise in dental assisting and familiarity with medical documentation will be vital in maintaining the high standards of care we provide in our dental clinic. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and record vital signs of pediatric patients to ensure their safety during procedures. Perform medical imaging tasks, including X-rays, and operate 3D scanners as required. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with clinic protocols. Provide education to patients and their families on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including basic dental receptionist tasks. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and exceptional patient care. Requirements Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, particularly within a pediatric setting. Proficiency in medical documentation systems and familiarity with medical coding practices is advantageous. Strong understanding of dental procedures, tools, and techniques relevant to pediatric dentistry. Ability to effectively communicate with children and their guardians, demonstrating patience and empathy. Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and experience with medical imaging equipment is a plus. A commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment. Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
