Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! Whether assisting chairside during procedures or managing medical records, your contribution will directly impact our patients’ oral health and overall experience. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly using aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage patient intake by taking vital signs, medical history, and updating electronic health records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Provide excellent chairside assistance with dental terminology, medical documentation, and medical coding to ensure accurate records. Support infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment to uphold the highest standards of safety. Educate patients on post-treatment care, dental procedures, and preventive practices to promote oral health awareness. Skills Proficiency with EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience with dental imaging techniques including X-ray procedures and 3D scanner technology. Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures in a dental clinic setting. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in general dentistry as well as specialized fields such as prosthodontics or pediatrics. Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist when coordinating appointments or patient inquiries. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy at all times.
