Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including preparing instruments and materials. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for use. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. Maintain accurate patient records and update files with relevant information. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient correspondence when necessary. Maintain the organisation of dental supplies and equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Requirements Prior experience or training in patient care, nursing, or healthcare is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is essential. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, for clear communication with patients and colleagues. Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment scheduling systems. A caring attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding patient care. Ability to work well within a team and adapt to the dynamic nature of a dental practice.
