Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Perform chairside assisting with precision, including taking vital signs, medical imaging, and operating X-ray equipment while maintaining strict aseptic techniques. Manage and update electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Conduct patient education on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health maintenance using clear dental terminology. Take high-quality 3D scans and other medical imaging to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Support infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments, maintaining aseptic environments, and adhering to strict hygiene standards. Collaborate seamlessly with the dental team to provide comprehensive care in general dentistry and specialized fields like pediatric dentistry and prosthodontics. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with proficiency in dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting and medical documentation. Knowledge of EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly desirable. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely following proper protocols; certification preferred. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
