Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing preventative dental care, assisting with patient education, and supporting the overall oral health of our patients. Responsibilities Conduct professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using advanced medical imaging equipment. Assist in the diagnosis of oral health issues through visual examination and utilization of iTero. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies. Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control protocols. Support dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort throughout. Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatments provided and observations made during appointments. Stay informed about the latest developments in dentistry, including anatomy knowledge relevant to oral structures. Skills Proficiency in using iTero or willingness to learn. Experience with medical imaging techniques, particularly dental X-rays. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health. Organized with the ability to manage multiple patient appointments efficiently. Compassionate approach with a focus on patient care and comfort.
