They prepare exam rooms, take X-rays, educate young patients on oral hygiene, and manage behavior during procedures, ensuring a positive, comfortable, and safe experience for infants, children, and teenagers. Key Responsibilities and Duties Clinical Assistance: Preparing, cleaning, and sterilizing dental instruments and treatment rooms. Chairside Support: Passing instruments and supporting the dentist during cleanings, fillings, sealants, and X-rays. Patient Management: Calming anxious children, explaining procedures using simple language, and guiding them through visits to create a fun, safe atmosphere. Oral Health Education: Teaching children and parents proper brushing, flossing, and nutritional habits. Administrative Tasks: Updating patient dental records, scheduling appointments, and managing billing/coding on Dentrix Software.
