Periodontal Specialists of Hawaii is looking for a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our specialty periodontal and implant practice located in the Ala Moana Building. Strong communication skills, organization, and the ability to anticipate clinical needs are essential. Dental assisting experience is preferred. Experience in a surgical or periodontal office is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow. *We offer excellent medical and dental benefits, paid vacation, and a stable schedule. Our office is open 4–5 days per week and closed on weekends. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist the doctor during periodontal and implant procedures Prepare and sterilize instruments and surgical setups Ensure operatories are fully prepared and stocked before procedures Take dental radiographs and assist with documentation Provide post-operative instructions and support to patients Maintain accurate patient records Support clinical efficiency and workflow throughout the day Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment Qualifications: At least 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred (not required for the right candidate) Experience in a periodontal or surgical office is a plus X-ray certification preferred High school diploma required Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Positive attitude and strong team mindset We are looking for someone who wants more than just a job — someone who wants to grow with a team that values excellence, accountability, and pride in their work.
