Many patients will spend more time with the dental assistant than any other team member, so it is essential that our assistants represent the practice professionally in their appearance, demeanor, and in all forms of communication. Candidates with three or more years of dental assisting experience will be given preference. Some of the duties for this position include: Setting up operatories, instruments, and supplies for procedures Assisting the doctor during a variety of procedures which may include: fillings, crown and bridge, extractions, implants, root canals, sedation cases, etc. Taking various types of x-rays, scans, and impressions Patient education before, during, and after procedures Charting treatment progress notes in the patientsâ record Sterilization duties At our practice EVERY smile matters - including those of our team members!
