Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! The ideal candidate will possess strong medical administrative support skills, familiarity with dental terminology, and experience working with various electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline patient care and office operations. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly atmosphere at the front desk Schedule appointments accurately using dental office management software such as Eaglesoft Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility and benefits Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting co-pays and updating medical records Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently and professionally Review and update patient documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and accuracy in medical records Maintain organized filing systems for dental records and other administrative documents Support clinic operations by coordinating patient intake, medical scheduling, and follow-up appointments Verify insurance claims submission status and follow up on outstanding claims or denials Skills Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft Strong knowledge of dental terminology Experience with insurance verification processes Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing) Familiarity with health information management standards such as HIPAA compliance Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred to ensure smooth onboarding into fast-paced environments Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and clerical expertise Ability to review documentation thoroughly for accuracy and completeness in compliance with healthcare regulations Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy front desk setting Join us in delivering outstanding patient care while supporting our dental teamâs success!
