Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental supplies, and ensuring all equipment is ready for procedures. Assist dentists during a variety of treatments including cleanings, restorations, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging to assist with diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy. Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort levels during procedures to ensure safety and well-being. Support infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to uphold the highest standards of hygiene. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Familiarity with dental radiography including X-ray procedures and the use of 3D scanners for advanced imaging. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization processes specific to dental settings. Ability to perform dental assisting duties including taking vital signs, assisting with various dental procedures, and supporting pediatric dentistry when needed. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical coding, and medical documentation requirements. Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist when coordinating appointments or patient inquiries. Certification in radiography or x-ray technology preferred; ongoing training in pediatric dentistry or prosthodontics is a plus. Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a difference!
